Trumpsided : How to Fight, Defeat And Win
1.
In victory, timing is everything. Learn to enter battle when the Time Is Right.
It was Sun Tzu that said thousand of years ago, that he who knows when to fight and when not to fight shall not lose in a thousand battles. Some of us however, never heed that advice, but continue on a war path without consideration. Some of us spend a lifetime fighting the same wars to no avail. Many perish with these wars not concluded, only to deliver the fools game to another generation. Many nations have come to ruin, lives lost, relationships ruined and countless resources wasted all because we have not stopped to think about whether or not a battle is worth fighting. So many of this could be avoided if we only new when to retreat or how to avoid starting in the first case. Some of us never even consider if the prize at the end of the fight is even worth fighting for. We aimlessly fight for honor or pride or the slightest injury. I have learnt painfully from some of these mistakes and can only humbly do, my charitable duty to my fellow man, by warning those who may listen.
We all are guilty of engaging in the worthless fight. At one time or another, we have all started an argument or engaged in an argument with friend, family or foe only to realize the waste of time. We have even entered the dangerous zone of fighting on two or more fronts. We may think that this is only for the foolhardy like ourselves. But the ones who should know better, have momentary lapses in judgment, or are just plain in the wrong line of business. Classic example in modern times, is the decisions made during and after the battle for Iraq which gave rise to ISIS. Many a marriages could have been saved had the people involved knew when to fight and when not to. So the next time you ponder a fight, ask yourself these few questions. First, is the prize worth fighting for? Can you win the fight? If I don’t win this fight, would there be any miscellaneous benefits gained? Are you able to fight this fight? How much injury may come to me if I fight? And finally, is the timing right for the attack.
This may seem like too much to think about. However, the more thought and calculation you put into it beforehand, the less you will have to, during the battle. These are some of the things trump would have had to consider before deciding to run for President.
Prior to making a bid for the Presidency, Donald made many mentions that he would run but he never did. Every opportunity he got he tended to keep his option open or suggest that he was going to run for President. But none of his banter ever turned into anything serious. More than thirty years passed before he actually took the leap of faith and announced he was going to run. I firmly believe that he is a calculating man and would have considered his prospects before taking any action. Some place in his thoughts he would have figured that the timing was not right. It could have been he felt like his plate was full at the time. He may have been dealing with too many things that might have distracted him from a run. It could have been a simple thing as thinking his kids were not grown enough for him to put them through the changes. Some may even say that the conditions were not bad enough to motivate him to run. After all, he did say in previous interviews that if things ever got so bad in his mind to warrant a run that he will. I guess after much consideration he thought that things were "bad enough" for him to intervene.
But they were some objective conditions that also made it the right timing. There was pretty much a lack of a viable candidates and the field was wide open. So open that people with vastly differing ideas could take a shot at it. I think Donald and many others smelt the blood that was seeping out of the GOP. Even the so-called establishment had given up Hope. McCain had tried and failed. Rand Paul had a shot before and thought fortune might have been on his side this time around. Speaker Ryan who had been a VP candidate didn't even bother. There was some sense in the Party of disappointment. A feeling of antipathy that no one felt there was a candidate that appealed to the Party and its Values. After exhaustion searching, some how, the establishment guys felt that people would come begging them to make a run. But no one did. The party did not realize the frustration and disgust that was being experienced by the lay man. And it is there in, I believe, lies one of the first miscalculation of the GOP, that would have allowed a Trump to slip through. They didn't believe in the possibility of a Trump Presidency being even viable. It was all but laughable for them. If there was a serious candidate who the party could have coalesce around , Trump's Presidential Bid would have ended before it even started.
Now once he was over the huddle of getting in, he had to fight for some acceptance and some legitimacy from the Party. This was no easy task, since most considered him a half baked Republican. Some didn't even consider him a Republican or even holding conservative principles. An attack he would throw at Cruz later in campaign, would have easily resonated with him if Cruz had reversed it. He had mentioned that not many conservatives came out of Cuba. Attesting to Ted Cruz's Cuban heritage. Now Cruz's counter during campaign, about not many conservatives coming out of New York was equally provocative. Had it not been for the condescending attitude of party insiders, Ted Cruz's and Jeb's arrogance he would have been stopped. But the timing was right! And she came to his assistance.
No one garnered really how frustrated the regular man was with career politicians who promised and never delivered. This was equally true for both Parties and would show itself in the overwhelming support for Bernie Sanders. Everyone else seem to have said the same thing during the initial stages of the campaign. But Trump was fresh, he was direct and sounded honest without guile. No politician had spoken soo directly to the concerns and fears of the American People. Every Politician prior to DJT had sounded tight, rehearsed and unrelatable. The time for change had been welcoming. The old establishment was like a movie you watched when you were a teen and now it just doesn't touch you anymore.
